Raman Prasad, MSW

Raman Prasad is a dedicated advocate and experienced practitioner with a strong background in supporting individuals living with chronic illness, treatment-resistant mental health conditions, and trauma. He has recently completed his master’s degree in social work, specializing in working with people managing chronic diseases. Over the past 2 years, Raman has collaborated with the non-profit Nutritional Therapy for Inflammatory Bowel Disease (NTforIBD) to develop an online tool that enhances communication between patients and clinicians, demonstrating his commitment to patient-centered care and innovative problem-solving.

Raman’s professional journey spans over two decades and includes diverse roles in project management, research, and advocacy. He has managed complex, multi-disciplinary projects at institutions such as Harvard & Yale Universities, where he contributed to the development of innovative tools for data analysis. A passionate advocate for alternative therapies, Raman has authored several books on health interventions, and spoken at conferences (such as Seattle Children’s Hospital) about dietary approaches to managing chronic conditions.

With a compassionate approach and a dedication to evidence-based practices, Raman is deeply committed to helping individuals navigate mental health challenges. He combines his research acumen and patient-focused care philosophy to create meaningful connections and lasting outcomes in clinical settings.

Raman received his MSW from Salem State University. Prior to this, he completed his M.S. from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and his B.Sc from Cornell University.
