Dr. Marni Chanoff’s approaches

  • Medication often provides a foundation for engaging in other therapeutic modalities. I collaborate closely with my patients and their providers to find the most effective medication regimen and dosing, while minimizing and monitoring side-effects.

  • This is a course of therapy including a series of preparatory, ketamine and integration sessions to help you access your inner healing potential through trusted relationships with our team.

  • Trained as a psychodynamic psychotherapist, I integrate this classical approach with a person-centered approach— acknowledging that you are the expert on your own experience. I also bring in cognitive behavioral therapy and eastern philosophy, including mindfulness and meditation. Developing a trusting and collaborative relationship is key to my approach.

  • I welcome the inclusion of family members, while emphasizing the importance of a person’s autonomy. Trained in the Finnish Dialogic Practice model, I facilitate meetings between loved ones to include each person’s voice, defuse power dynamics, and move towards honest communication. In addition, I coach family members as they navigate their way through our complex mental health system and help them support their loved one in treatment.
