What is the difference between Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) v. Infusions?
While many clinics offer ketamine infusions for depression, anxiety, or PTSD, these are often administered without therapeutic support, leaving patients to make sense of their experience on their own. Infusions can lead to temporary relief, but without a therapeutic container, the benefits often fade quickly. Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP), on the other hand, is grounded in a psychotherapeutic relationship. It is not just about the medicine—it’s about what happens with the medicine:
Patients are supported by licensed therapists before, during, and after their sessions
Intentions are set in advance and integrated after the experience
The treatment is individualized based on each person’s goals, history, and psychological readiness. KAP recognizes that insight without support can be overwhelming. That’s why we hold space for patients to process and apply what they’ve learned.
We believe healing is possible when people are supported as whole human beings—not just as patients, and not just through medication alone. We believe in KAP because ketamine, when used skillfully in a therapeutic context, offers a profound opportunity for change. It can create space from entrenched thought patterns, offer clarity on long-standing emotional pain, and reconnect people to parts of themselves that have been shut down or forgotten.
We believe people heal best when they feel safe, seen, and supported—not just during their KAP session, but through every phase of the journey. That’s why we’ve built a model that doesn’t rush, doesn’t cut corners, and doesn’t treat KAP as a quick fix—but rather as a powerful starting point for real, sustained transformation.
